On the occasion of the Mini VOLUMES fair on Saturday June 10th at Lowenbraukunst in Zurich, TETI Press was pleased to launch its second publication.

Transbordements stems from an installation entitled “La bibliothèque à déplacer” which was designed for a shipping container by Vesdge (Vincent Fradet & Gabriel Gee) and Les Presses Editables at the BIG Geneva festival of independent art spaces with VOLUMES Zurich a couple of year ago. The reader will find six intertwined texts mingling French and English written through a collective process by the six authors, revisiting the library titles on show in Geneva, in a series of playful, dramatic, jaw-dropping scenarios, involving a precious pig chronicle, a Greek dumbbell, an obsessive project T leading to a mysterious Mexico adventure, and an elusive object petit a…

Many thanks to the Fondation Jan Michalksi and Franklin University Switzerland for the support, to the big biennale and VOLUMES ZURICH for fostering encounters.

This collection of essays reflects on the mobile ground beneath our feet, questioning the soil as both material and narrative in our interconnected territories. Texts by artists, curators, historians, engineers, environmental scientists, architects, gardeners and poets peer into the bright and dark worlds of the underground, look at memories, molecules and resilience on the ground, industry, migration and spectral presences on the overground. Throughout, authors revisit their own practice confronted to present earthly attachments and ecological pressure. It stems from a series of workshops organised in 2019 as part of the Baustelle und Botanic project.

The book was launched on Saturday September 4th 2021 AT LA BECQUE RESIDENCE D'ARTISTES, LA TOUR DE PEILZ as part of MODERN NATURE III
